Founder University kickoff ! A life changing, mind-altering in-person experience!

Last Thursday, I attended the in-person kickoff of Founder university in Redwood City, next to the Stanford campus. I talked to over 30 other startup founders, many of them inspiring women startup founders, with phenomenal stories of courage, gumption, and ambition.

My mind is still buzzing with all the inspiring conversations I had, the interactions I had and the stories we shared with other founders at Founder University.

The highlight of the event was when I had a chance to pitch SipSafe to Jason Calacanis! The JCal!! After I made my 1 minute pitch, Jason grilled me on the idea, the market size, and opportunity. As he was learning more about me, he asked if I was recent engineering grad with mechanical engineering background.... and I sheepishly said I was a high school junior....the entire room of 85 people gasped.... and instantly broke into applause!

Jason was amazed to hear my story and he asked around if I was the youngest founder to join the program! Turns out I was!!

This was one of the proudest moments in my life and I hope to use everything I learn during this 12 week program.

P.S. While I've drained my social battery, I admit that no virtual experience can beat the electricity of an in-person experience.
