Sharing my journey with Middle School Students - STEM Webinar!

Last week, I had the chance to host a webinar for a group of middle school students. I shared my journey with SipSafe, how I got started building with Arduino, and what it’s been like turning an idea into a real product used in schools and public spaces.

We also did a fun hands-on STEM exercise together, where I talked about how important it is to stay curious and keep building—even when things don't work the first time.

After the session, the teacher told me that one of the students said, “When I grow up, I want to be like Anika.” That honestly meant so much to me. Moments like this remind me of my elementary school teachers and the important role they played in my life. This experience also made me realize how important it is to inspire others and show others that they can build, invent, and lead, no matter how young they are.
